Hill61 is a 5-piece rock
and pop covers band that specialises in weddings, birthday parties
etc.
Most of our repertoire is intended to get
people up and dancing! This up-tempo part of our repertoire extends from '50s
rock 'n roll ( 'Johnny B. Goode', 'Great Balls of Fire' etc ), through stuff
from the '60s, '70s and '80s ( e.g. 'Mustang Sally', 'All Right Now', 'Summer
of '69' ) to more recent songs like Robbie's 'Let me entertain you' and Jet's

We don't just sit back and play the
music!! Audience participation can be included if desired. Hill61 are used to
including the audience in our performances. Perhaps the audience will want to
sing a well-known chorus when the band's lead vocalist points the microphone in
their direction. Perhaps two or three guests will want to come up to the stage
and be backing-singers grouping round a microphone to sing "Go Johnny, go go
go" or "Let me entertain you". Perhaps the groom likes the idea of taking the
lead vocals on a song!!!
Our repertoire includes
slower songs, ballads etc that you might want played during the reception meal
or the first bride & groom dance. These include ColdPlay's 'Trouble',
Robbie's 'Angels' etc.
If you don't see the
songs in our set list that you want to hear, tell us which songs you want us to
play and we will endeavour to include them in our performance.
We supply the whole music package. Breaks in the
live music will be filled by recorded sounds played through our P.A. system. We
have our own CD collection but will, of course, play any of your CDs as well.
We also have our own stage lighting system.
We
are flexible regarding the timing of setting up, playing etc. If you wish us to
arrive early to set up, but to delay playing until after the reception meal and
to play into the evening, we will do our best to comply.
